My name is Jason Moon and I am a combat veteran from Iraq 03-04.  I struggled with PTSD after returning home and attempted suicide in 2008.  As part of my recovery I began to write songs about my experience.  It helped me and turned out helping other veterans.  In 2010 I formed the nonprofit Warrior Songs which uses the creative arts to help veterans heal.  I travel the country educating civilians and empowering veterans.  My CD “Trying to Find My Way Home” has been distributed to over 8000 veterans.  We also help other veterans explore their trauma and recovery by helping them turn their stories into songs.  Our first Volume “If You Have to Ask…  Warrior Songs Vol 1” released Nov 5th of 2016.  In all, 42 veterans contributed testimony, 16 songwriters wrote tracks for the album, 46 musicians participated in recording sessions, and sound engineers at eight studios captured the magic.  We are currently working on Vol 2 Woman at War.                                   We also host creative arts healing retreats for veterans with PTSD.
